The StarHotel President was the most modern hotel
we stayed during our days in Italy. However, by
American standard, the room was small and the
shower stall was tiny and dark. Ron's comment is he
now knows why European women don't shave their
legs!
This was also the first hotel that had a true
Queen-size bed. Every other hotel had two narrow
twin beds that had be pushed together. The were
made separately, making it hard to cuddle!

The menu included lots of seafood, reflecting the
Genoa loacation.

The party was held in the lobby of the hotel. Wine
was the main drink offering, as is the case
throughout Italy. Soft drinks are expensive and
never iced.

We were also happy to see Diane S and Doug L with
whom we had shared several dinners and excusions on
the Panama cruise. It was also good to see my old
friend Don McAllister and his wife, Barbara of
ScreenCastsOnline who was a part of the faculty for
this cruise.
